World Scout Jamboree meets #AlmostHeaven

Anticipation and excitement are at an all-time high as nearly 44,000 individuals from 137 countries have arrived in the Mountain State this week to participate in the World Scout Jamboree.

West Virginia is the proud host of the Jamboree, which hasn’t been held in the United States since 1967. While the Scouts will enjoy some 92 million feet of ziplines and tents will cover 1 million square feet at the Summit Bechtel Reserve, the WV Tourism Office, West Virginia National Guard, the Boy Scouts of America and leaders across the state are ensuring that the safety, security, and most importantly, the fun recreational experiences are second to none.

We hope they find their almost heaven in West Virginia and return to our country roads again and again!
