A special thanks to Executive Director of Volunteer WV and West Virginia's Early Childhood Advisory Council Chair, Heather Foster, for her commitment and dedication to the WV Women Moving Forward initiative. Her encouraging and thoughtful feedback and personal experiences emphasize the need to support those entering or re-entering the workforce.
"As a single mom, fresh out of college, launching my career seemed daunting and the costs that came with it were difficult to manage. I was lucky enough to have opportunities, resources, and family support, but clothing was an unexpected financial struggle. That's why I’m so excited and energized by the WV Women Moving Forward Initiative - especially the clothing closet project. I know from experience that access to suitable professional attire can change a woman's life, helping her overcome a key obstacle and in doing so, helping her discover her own potential," said Foster.
