Recognizing National Small Business Week from May 5-11, WV Forward celebrates our partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration. Small businesses are truly the backbone of West Virginia’s economy, as they account for 98.9% of West Virginia businesses, and employ 49.2% of the private workforce in the state. The Small Business Administration is a critical partner to helping attract, retain and grow businesses, supporting investment, leveraging designated Opportunity Zones projects, utilizing loan programs and driving new business, particularly hi-tech business, into the state. |
