WV Forward supply chain project to grow jobs and investment
During the West Virginia Manufacturers Association Marcellus and Manufacturing Development Conference this week, Rocky Goodwin (WV Forward), John Deskins (WVU) and Gideon Gradman (Baker Tilly Capital) updated attendees on a new collaborative project aimed at growing jobs and investment in the region.
Experts have called energy development a game-changing, generational opportunity. WVU's WV Forward team wants to be sure all area businesses are poised to benefit and grow.
Managing Director at Baker Tilly Captial, Gideon Gradman, said, "WVU is implementing the WV Forward blueprint for prosperity by playing a more active role in facilitating local and regional procurement from large energy and chemical projects coming to Appalachia."
By developing a system to connect procurement decision-makers with a broad set of local companies capable of providing products and services, we hope to broaden positive economic impact and prosperity.
