From job fairs to hiring sprees

As West Virginia employers look to hire at regional job fairs in the coming weeks, Northrop Grumman announced plans to add up to 500 jobs to its site in Mineral County. The Mineral County Development Authority is also going to own $5 million in new equipment property, which they will lease to the company in order to avoid tangible personal property tax while shifting some financial risk and responsibility to the local authorities.
