Cyber workforce

The WV Cybersecurity Workforce Strategic Initiative, including WV Forward, met this week in South Charleston at the BridgeValley Advanced Technology Center to discuss coordinating the state's cyber education efforts with business needs and technology trends.

WV Forward's cyber jobs and training maps were provided as a part of outreach efforts to attract and retain young talent interested in cyber opportunities statewide.

Major General James Hoyer also spoke on the National Guard's expanding role in the nation's cyber defense from right here in West Virginia.

TechConnect WV, the WV Department of Commerce and higher education institutions across the state are participants in this initiative to better secure West Virginia's cyber infrastructure.
