Teaming up for our best cybersecurity future is key to boosting WV jobs, economic development

Our WV Forward blueprint names cyber and IT as a "burning platform opportunity" to boost jobs. We must embrace this opportunity with a fierce sense of urgency. By partnering with State and Federal officials, Discover the Real WV Foundation, TechConnect WV, Generation WV, education, business and community leaders we can capture the full promise of these jobs. This year we are teaming up to improve our full compliment of P-20 educational opportunities, lifelong training, while maximizing investment, infrastructure and tax benefits. Last week's Intel and Cyber Forward workshop is the first in a series of collaborative WV Forward efforts to come. By aligning work, we can do more for WV jobs.

Fred King, West Virginia University’s Vice President for Research, notes the need for collaboration in this blog post on WVForward's new Blueprint Blog.
