WV Forward progress report to be out next week
| WV Forward will be releasing a 2018 progress update next week to share our evolving work and collaborations to date. In our inaugural year, as we adopt the blueprint of recommendations McKinsey & Company produced, we know that our best chance at a prosperous economic future is to target industries and sectors ripe for growth – including tourism, advanced manufacturing, cybersecurity and IT – while also tackling heavy lifts, such as cultivating human capital and increasing financial resources through innovation and new investments. The progress update provides context as to why there's a need to act in each of these areas, and sketches out WV Forward goals and evolving work. While we bear in mind the urgency and persistence to act and find quick wins, we do not want to build a foundation for success on sand. WV Forward is based upon collaborative efforts and analysis grounded in data. WV Forward is about embracing innovative ideas. building on success and aligning to make things happen.
