2018 WV Brownfields Conference focuses on revitalization and development
The 2018 WV Brownfields Conference on September 5-7 in Charleston adopts the theme, "Embracing the Challenge," focusing on revitalization and redevelopment of brownfields sites in communities statewide.
Marshall University President, Dr. Jerome Gilbert, will give the opening keynote address, highlighting the work of WV Forward and its role in identifying sites ready for business, and the importance of collaboration to help reinvigorate our communities.
In addition, Brownfields Assistance Center Directors Patrick Kirby & George Carico are serving as WV Forward collaborators to help craft a statewide site readiness program. They will discuss potential redevelopment partners and projects.
Patrick Kirby will also moderate a panel discussion on site development and how to prepare properties for potential investment opportunities.
