BUCKHANNON, WV – Gov. Jim Justice announced today that campers in West Virginia can now reserve campsites online before they set out for the woods, thanks to an upgraded reservation system launched today.

CHARLESTON — Students in West Virginia are now able to apply for a new grant that will make tuition at some of the state’s public community college programs free.

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - West Virginia Forward is a statewide indicative with many partnerships bring people together for job growth, lifelong learning, and human capital. A panel discussion was held Thursday at the Marriot Hotel at Waterfront Place in Morgantown discussing on how to accelerate projects within designated state opportunity zones. Investors, developers, property owners, entrepreneurs, business owners, lawyers, accountants, researchers, startups and community and economic development professionals were encouraged to attend.

To be successful in today’s workforce, students need to be proficient at analyzing and applying data. Thanks to a partnership with Google, West Virginia University will now offer a series of introductory data science courses as part of its curriculum.

Today’s youths are in tune with and committed to a variety of social issues facing our nation and world. A group of West Virginia 4-H’ers is using their savvy computer and coding know-how to virtually address one of those critical issues – stereotypes. Their work has earned them one of 40 spots nationwide in a Facebook hackathon.

Marshall University has established a new organization called Women in Cyber to bring together female students with the common goals of closing the gender gap in technology and giving women in technology visibility and a voice.

Marshall University celebrated its new Brad D. Smith Business Incubator today at a ceremony in Huntington. The business incubator space, which is being renovated, is on the first floor of the university’s Visual Arts Center at 927 Third Ave., across from Pullman Plaza.
